Sophomore Stevie Taylor kills them with speed. The diminutive 5’9”, 145 pound point guard from Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio (near Columbus) is as quick at they come. Despite his size, Taylor has the tools to be a star point guard at the NCAA Division I level. Taylor’s 5’11” wingspan is longer than his body. His vertical leap goes to 29 inches. Full Story |

The videotape of Kansas' blue-collar 27-point win over the Kent State Golden Flashes Monday night at Allen Field House won't be overnighted to the Basketball Hall of Fame, but that didn't bother head coach Bill Self too much. Power Forward Richie Phares (6-7, 200) is ranked by most scouting services as the #2 player in the Kentucky Class of 2009. That puts Phares just behind Kentucky commit and possible McDonald’s All-American Jon Hood and above Miami RedHawk target C.J. Penny. Phares is also the top ranked power forward in his class.
