EMU Loses at Jacksonville St 61-54

The Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team stumbled at Jacksonville State 61-54 today, as the Eagles lose their first game of the 2012-13 season. The Green and White offense was led by Daylen Harrison 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Eastern Michigan men’s basketball team lost its road opener to Jacksonville State 61-54 earlier today.

Daylen Harrsion led the Eagles (1-1) with 14 points and nine rebounds and Glenn Bryan chipped in with 13 points.

Gamecocks (2-0) Darion Rackley scored a game high 17 points for Jacksonville State.

EMU took the lead 44-43 with 6:42 left, but then were outscored 18-10 down the stretch.

The Eagles will next play three-games-in-three-days in the inaugural EMU “Ice Man” Classic. The Green and White will first host Eastern Illinois at 7 p.m., this Friday in the three-day tournament. All games will be played in the Convocation Center.

Radio: The game will be broadcast on WEMU-FM (89.1).
